Introduction:  The canadian shield is located  in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec  plus  Newfounland and Labrador and two territories North west  and Nunavut.  The canadian shield  is a region near western Canada and US. It is the sixth largest region in canada. It is a region of mostly grass and mountains. The french word  for Canadian shield is Laurentian Plateau or Bouclier Canadien.
